The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, September 23 reveals Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will advocate for her future mother-in-law.
Also coming up, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will balk at Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) invite. Plus, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will be disappointed in Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). And Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will try to talk her best friend out of making a mistake.
Y&R spoilers tease Billy will run into Cane at Crimson Lights. He’ll ask if he and Sally are having a boy or a girl. Billy will say they’re waiting for the surprise. Cane will ask if he’s invited to the wedding and Billy will tell him sure, as soon as he signs Chancellor over to him.

But he’ll say he’s kidding and he and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) are invited. Then he’ll ask if he’s spoken to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) lately. Cane will say yes, and she asked about him. He’ll add Jill was proud of him for giving up his pursuit of Chancellor.
“Jill loves you very much and she’s heartbroken that you’re still so angry.” Once again, they’ll argue about Jill, who Billy doesn’t want at the wedding. “That makes me sad,” Cane will tell him. “You’re gonna regret her not being there.”
At The Shadow Room, Sally will act a little off and Audra will notice. So she’ll ask what it is. “I’m really hoping you can keep an open mind,” she’ll reply. “I asked Chelsea to replace Chloe as my bridesmaid.” Audra will be shocked. “One conversation with Chelsea and it’s suddenly join my wedding?”
But Sally will say she was spinning out and Chelsea was incredible. Audra will say it sounds like she wants her approval and she’ll remind her of all her tears after their betrayal. “I don’t want to hold grudges, that’s not the example I’m going to set for my baby,” Sally will say.
Audra will tell her she’s making a huge mistake. “She helped you through one panic attack and that erases the past?” Sally will ask if it’s possible that she’s a little jealous. “No one is ever going to replace you Audra, you’re my sister and my best friend, for life.”
Then Audra will apologize for bringing her down. She wants it to be the most beautiful day of her life, so if that means Chelsea’s involved, so be it. “Just for the record, you’re being a hell of a lot more gracious than I would ever be.” Then Billy will arrive and Audra will leave.
Young And the Restless Scoop – Adam Doesn’t Want To Watch Her Mistake
He’ll say he just saw Cane, who was badgering him about Jill being at the wedding. Sally will say of course she’ll be there, she’s been texting with his mom about all the details. “I want her there, she’s gonna be the grandmother to our baby.” Billy will say he doesn’t want to argue about it. But he’ll give serious consideration to what she just said.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will tell Adam she has great news and he’ll never guess it in a million years. “Sally asked you to be her bridesmaid,” he’ll reply. He’ll add that he ran into Billy, who told him about it. Chelsea will ask how bad it got. “Have you undone all the progress Sally and I made in one single day?”
But Adam will say he didn’t ruin anything. “Billy made it crystal clear there are conditions to the offer, no Adam.” He’ll tell her he won’t go but Chelsea will say he can come with her and not act like an ass. “You’re joking,” he’ll reply, adding Billy doesn’t want him there. “I want you there!” Chelsea will say.
Adam will tell her his presence at the wedding is clearly not wanted. Plus, he doesn’t want to watch Sally make the biggest mistake of her life. “She deserves better.” Chelsea will say whether he agrees with it or not there’s going to be a wedding. Eventually, Adam will cave and tell Chelsea he’ll go with her.
Finally, Audra will walk into the coffee shop and say hello to Cane. She’ll sit down and ask if he’s bringing anyone to the wedding. “Are you asking me out on a date?” he’ll ask, telling her he is bringing someone. Audra will tell him to get over himself. “Aristotle Dumas was hot, Cane Ashby’s just another guy trying to hold onto a job.”
